I recently saw The English Beat in Hoboken and they were fantastic. I've long been a fan, listening to them on my headphones during my teenage angst,* begging
Margaret to stand down.
It was a fantastic show where they played everything I love with such energy and vitality that it was hard to believe that some songs were 30 years old. Whist there, I met a couple of people who promote The English Beat. They spread the good word about this still-going-strong band, so I'm doing everything I can to help.
Feel free to grab the image on this post, print it out and put it up in your office, cubicle or office toilet. Even better, if you print up a few more and drop them off at your local cafe, music store or bar, that would be amazing.
The English Beat are most famous for 'Mirror in the bathroom,' 'Too nice to talk to,' 'Tears of a clown,' 'I confess' and 'Hands off, she's mine.'
*Ok, so it wasn't so much angst as mild hysteria.
