Missing Irate Dog.

Mr Me and I were walking along Broadway in Astoria this weekend and found this mising dog poster on the El train struts.

 

 

Just to prove that this is an original shot, here's Mr Me getting his photo too.

Aggressive passive-aggressive notes

Our friends, Mr and Mrs Kindheart, generously share their garden with many of the neighborhood dogs, including Bitey McGee. They coach softball, are on bowling teams, take care of their family and are very active. So I was inexplicably furious when I heard that they have a constant battle with people parking in their driveway. 

It's clearly marked. There is a no parking sign. It's obviously a working driveway, often with their cars on it. And yet asswipes often park so Mr and Mrs Kindheart cannot get in or out or their own drive. Once, someone on the next block parked there for three days. 

The night after I heard of these outrages, I woke up at 3am with a solution. I'd make a series of notes, ranging from benign (not shown here) to the furious. WIth these notes, they can decide how pissed off they are and act accordingly. 

I do what I can.

My personal favorite, this is a folded piece, shown with the front first and inside second.

Anatomically Correct Missing Cat poster

I saw this missing cat poster on the way to the station one morning last week. I was impressed at the level of detail, especially the illustration showing the white cat's black tail in relation to it's bum hole.

BTW, The posters were all gone the next day, which leads me to think that cat got home safely, bum and all.

Walking paths best avoided, Mitch Waxman has captured a side of New York and Long Island City most people never see. Toxic, rancid and practically with stink lines, his pictures flare up in your face. Using HDR, which allows a greater, more dynamic range of exposures, Mitch has bought most infested parts of the city of into the light.
